EDTA Buffer (pH 8.0) is used as a heat-induced antigen retriever on formalin fixed or Paraffin embedded tissues. Usually the antigenic sites in tissues are masked in formalin fixed or Paraffin embedded tissues. So, to retrieve the masked antigens & improve staining quality antigen retrieval solutions are used.
