Description

The Ki-67 is a nuclear protein. It is established as a reference marker for assessing cellular proliferation in tumor cells. This antibody identifies actively dividing cells at all stages of cell cycle except G0 phase. In histopathological diagnosis Ki-67 is used as a marker for identifying certain malignances of blood and solid tumor in proliferating tumors. A correlation has been demonstrated between Ki-67 index and the histopathological grade of neoplasms.
