Description
Mucicaramine staining is useful in demonstrating the acidic mucins which are of epithelial origin rather than fibroid origin. It’s also used in identification of primary tumor sites and distinguishing mucin-negative undifferentiated squamous cell lesions from mucin-positive adenocarcinomas.
