Description
The Progesterone receptor is expressed as two major isoforms, PR-A (81kDa) and PR-B (116kDa) The PR gene produces intracellular receptors which bind to DNA & regulates gene expression of estrogen receptor The Progesterone protein is identified in nucleus of both steroid occupied & steroid unoccupied cells in tissues. PR is expressed in breast carcinoma, endometrial carcinoma, ovarian carcinoma & meningioma’s.
