BioMarq Protein Block is formulated to stabilize antibodies and eliminate background encountered in immunohistochemistry (IHC) by blocking non-specific protein-protein interactions.
In IHC procedures, non-specific or high background staining may occur in some cells or tissues due to nonspecific binding of antibodies to tissue or to Fc receptors. This non-specific background can be significantly reduced by pre-treatment of cells/tissues with Protein Block prior to incubation with HRP conjugated antibody. BioMarq Protein Block aids in enhancement of the Signal-to- noise ratio during IHC procedures and doesn’t cross-react with other reagents.
