TTBS-T20 WASH SOLUTION is used to rinse away reagents between steps of Immunohistochemical staining protocols. This solution helps to maintain the morphological characteristics of the antibodies and their respective epitopes, in order to facilitate the specific binding necessary in an Immunohistochemical reaction. Added surfactant helps in spreading of the reagent properly on the tissue, promotes effective washing and prevents non-specific background staining. TBS is used for immunohistochemical staining when background is high or when alkaline phosphatase conjugated antibodies are used. TBS is often used for diluting secondary antibodies or streptavidin-AP conjugate and is sodium azide and Thimerosal free. This wash buffer works well for manual and automated IHC applications requiring a high quality TBS buffer and surfactant with superior pH stability
