Description
The CD45 antibody is a Leucocyte common antigen found on lymphoid cells. It is a transmembrane glycoprotein with mol.wt 180-220kDa. CD45 plays complex roles in T cell & B cell antigen receptor signal transduction. Neoplastic cells of B-Cell & T-cell origin stain positive in leukemia & Non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas with CD45 whereas neoplastic cells of myeloid & erythroid stain negative. The localization of this antigen is seems to be on cell membrane . During Lymphoma conditions CD45 is used to screen pan
lymphocytes.
